Helgi Tomasson is an Icelandic ballet dancer, choreographer, and director. He trained at the National School of Reykjavik and the School of American Ballet. He danced with the Joffrey Ballet, Harkness Ballet, and as the principal of the New York City Ballet. He has been the Artistic Director of the San Francisco Ballet since 1985.
